ALES for ALS 2023

YONA YONA BEER WORKS will be selling a limited edition craft beer called "ALES for ALS" at all stores. The beer was brewed by Yo-Ho Brewing as part of their efforts to raise awareness of, and support pharmaceutical research into, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a designated incurable disease.

As a result of this initiative, for every pint (473ml) of craft beer made for "ALES for ALS" consumed, $1 will be donated to the American ALS support organization, the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI).

When participating in relief activities, we are able to use hops sent from dedicated farms in the United States. This year's blend of hops includes many varieties with relatively high alpha acid content, such as HBC630, Simcoe, and Ekuanot, and we have taken advantage of their bitterness to brew a style of beer called "Black IPA."

By adding typical malts such as Carafa SP Type 3 and Chocolate Wheat, you can enjoy bitterness, tropical, dank aroma, and clean roasted aroma all at the same time.
